Welcome!

I'm Cheryl Anderson, LA5018, a licensed massage therapist specializing in myofascial therapy. With over a decade of experience, I focus on medical myofascial release to alleviate pain and support functional recovery. My approach addresses the root causes of pain and movement restrictions, helping you regain mobility, reduce discomfort, and improve your overall quality of life. I am conveniently located in the New Orleans Gentilly area.

Over the years, I have developed a precise hands-on technique that effectively targets fascial layers, nerve compression, and post-surgical adhesions. I have experience working with various conditions, including TMJ dysfunction, headaches, chronic neck, back and shoulder pain, and post-surgical recovery.

My myofascial therapy method includes a combination of hands-on massage, stretching, fascia blasting (with the Fascia Blaster™), and medi-cupping. These techniques are designed to target fascial restrictions and adhesions that contribute to chronic pain, mobility issues, and poor lymphatic flow.

**What is Fascia?**
Fascia is a multi-layered, collagen-based connective tissue that envelops muscles, bones, and organs. It plays an active role in the body by supporting tissues and organs, reducing friction, easing muscle tension, and tightening reflexively. It also assists your bloodstream, bone tissue, lymphatic system, and skeletal muscles.

**What is Fascia Blasting?**
Fascia blasting involves breaking up fascial adhesions using a mechanical tool (the Fascia Blaster by Ashley Black) equipped with ridges. Some benefits of fascia blasting include improved lymphatic flow, enhanced circulation, relieved muscle tension, reduced muscle discomfort, and the breakdown of fat tissue for a smoother appearance.

**What is MediCupping?**
MediCupping massage is a mechanical form of cupping therapy that employs a machine to create suction, lifting and decompressing tissues at a deeper level than traditional massage alone. Unlike manual massage, which compresses tissues, MediCupping pulls tissue layers apart to increase circulation, hydration, and lymphatic drainage. This technique helps soften muscles, dissolve knots, improve scar tissue, and promote relaxation.

MediCupping is effective for a variety of conditions, including deep muscular tissues, sports injuries, and scar tissue issues, providing a soothing and non-invasive treatment. Benefits of MediCupping include pain relief, soft tissue mobilization, enhanced circulation and drainage, and nervous sedation. This technique can be utilized for various issues, such as deep muscular and connective tissue dysfunctions, scar tissue reduction, sports injuries, chronic pain, high blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, cellulite, body contouring, and pre- and post-operative care, including mastectomy, mommy makeovers, liposuction, and BBL.body contouring, and pre- and post-operative care, including mastectomy, mommy makeovers, liposuction, and BBL.
